About the Islands

St. Kitts and Nevis, the twin-island Caribbean nation, is known for its lush landscapes, pristine beaches, and rich history. As the smallest sovereign state in the Western Hemisphere, it boasts diverse ecosystems, from tropical rainforests to vibrant coral reefs. The islands are marked by the volcanic peaks of Mount Liamuiga in St. Kitts and Nevis Peak on its sister island. With a diverse culture, St. Kitts and Nevis is renowned for its vibrant festivals, music, and welcoming spirit. Its economy is driven by tourism, agriculture, and financial services, and the islands are increasingly recognised for their efforts in sustainable development and resilience to climate challenges.

The Sustainable Island State Agenda (SISA) of St. Kitts and Nevis is a comprehensive framework designed to guide St. Kitts and Nevis towards a sustainable future by 2040. This ambitious initiative aims to address critical challenges such as climate change, resource scarcity, and social inequality.
