Local volunteers and staff of community organisations are being given the chance to take part in fully funded online training in food hygiene.
The Food Hygiene Heroes scheme is the latest opportunity from the North Highlands and Islands Climate Hub which supports communities to take climate action.
The Scottish Government funded project launched in September 2021, and offers advice and support to communities to help them create and implement sustainability goals. The Hub benefits communities in a number of ways while supporting national net zero aspirations.
The scheme offers individual volunteers and staff of community organisations the opportunity of fully funded training for a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering qualification should they work on a project which aims to combat food waste.
