The Fourth International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4), held in Antigua and Barbuda in June 2024, was a pivotal moment in addressing the unique challenges faced by small island nations. This session will review the outcomes of the conference, focusing on the critical issues discussed, including eligibility for Official Development Assistance (ODA), access to climate finance, long-term debt sustainability, and climate and environmental justice and will reflect on the implications of the Antigua and Barbuda Accord (ABAS) for SIDS over the next decade.
