UNFCCC COPs: How can SIDS civil society receive official accreditation?

This session will focus on the vital role NGOs in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) play in advancing sustainable initiatives and advocating for climate justice and resilience. As key stakeholders in global climate discussions, particularly the COP convenings, it is essential that SIDS, which face disproportionate impacts of climate change, have strong representation. However, navigating the complex accreditation process for COP can be challenging. This session will explore the steps involved in obtaining NGO accreditation and discuss effective strategies to prepare for and actively participate in COP events, empowering NGOs to amplify their voices in future climate negotiations.
