Global Practices, Challenges And Opportunities In Energy Storage For Islands And For Small Island Developing States (SIDS)

Natural Resources Canada invites you to participate in a 90-minute webinar on Energy Storage for Islands and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). Key speakers will include policy and technical experts from the World Bank, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and representatives from islands and SIDS. Discussion will highlight lessons learned, case studies and technology advancements in energy storage and its application in islands communities from SIDS.
Improving access to and the integration of clean and renewable energy systems is a global concern. During Canada’s Joint G7 Ministerial Meeting in 2018, members agreed that clean and resilient energy technologies and systems, as well as nature-based solutions, are an essential part of increasing the overall energy resiliency. This webinar will bring together members and partners from diverse international programs and government organizations to share best practices and lessons learned.
