About Tisha Marajh

Tisha Marajh has more than twenty years relevant experience in the field of Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance). She worked with the City of Toronto in water conservation and public education and as a lecturer at Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology in Canada before returning to Trinidad and Tobago in 2008. She was the Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Education at the Environmental Management Authority until 2013. She also served concurrently as the Corporate Secretary. Tisha has two specialized graduate and undergraduate degrees in Sustainable Development and the Environment from York University, Toronto, Canada. After leaving the EMA in 2013, Ms. Marajh started a small consulting company, Green Alternatives in Action (GAIA) which focused on mainstreaming the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the private sector, the Circular Economy and Environment, Social and Government (ESG) components of sustainability. She was very fortunate in this role, to work with organizations such as Nestle, Tetra Pak, Carib Glass, UWI, FAO, IDRC and many others.

Tisha is currently the Senior Manager/Group Sustainability Officer, Group Sustainability at Republic Finance Holdings Limited (RFHL). Under this portfolio she is responsible for developing and implementing the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy for Republic Group. She is also leading the Bank’s commitments under the UNEPFI’s Principles of Responsible Banking (PRB), Net Zero Banking Alliance (NZBA) and the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Tisha remains committed to the sustainable development of the Caribbean Region.
