About Janhvi Bhojwani

Janhvi hails from Jakarta, Indonesia, and the U.S. territory of Guam. For her undergraduate studies, she majored in Culture and Politics with a focus in media and international affairs at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Janhvi continued her studies at Georgetown University earning a Master of Arts in Communications, Culture and Technology with a certificate in Journalism and Digital Media. In 2018, Janhvi received a Fulbright-Hays scholarship to travel to Indonesia. There she conducted fieldwork on social media and fake news in Indonesian communities prior to the Indonesian Presidential elections. Her research focused on the impact of trust and misinformation on the digital landscape. Janhvi has worked at several media organizations including CNBC, NPR, PBS, and AFP. She is currently a Social Newsgathering Reporter for NBC News and MSNBC.
