When this newsletter started in 2018, there was just me on the team. Since then we’ve grown our subscribers to nearly 30,000 island stakeholders and Island Innovation has 10 staff. This is a huge achievement and I hope you’re enjoying the weekly summary of news as much as you did when you first signed up.
We are constantly looking for new ways to improve how we communicate with our community, be it through our recent holiday party, a new event like Island Finance Forum, or re-launching on Instagram. As you can see this month we’ve re-designed our newsletter and we’d love your feedback – just hit reply!
Moving forwards I’ll be sharing a very short video with you each week, with my thoughts on topic relevant to islands and sustainability. Again, if there are any particular subjects you’d like to read more about get in touch.
Below is my video insights début where I talk more about the SDG’s and their importance to island communities. Keep an eye out for new content each week!
- Samoan PM hints at reform of Pacific Islands Forum selection process.
- 'Marginalising our own brothers and sisters': the disrespect Micronesia has been shown is a tragedy for the Pacific.
- Emergency preparedness and risk reduction plan in the Caribbean 2021.
- Backing the stewards of biocultural diversity: Q&A with Indigenous rights leader Carla Fredericks
- India, Maldives sign five pacts to boost infrastructure projects in island nation.
