Pastel Audrey is a project manager for the “Adaptation to Climate Change in the Bay of Fort-de-France” initiative at the Conservatoire du Littoral. She holds a PhD in Spatial Planning from the University of the French West Indies, where her research focused on strategies for reducing vulnerability to sea level rise and tropical cyclones in Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Saint-Martin. At the Conservatoire du Littoral, Audrey is spearheading the ADAPTO+ project, which integrates mangrove protection into the bay’s climate adaptation strategy. She is also the president of the Association of Urban Planners of Martinique and a member of the “Risks Overseas” working group of the French Association for Disaster Risk Reduction. Passionate about urban planning and climate justice, Audrey is committed to raising awareness and advising communities on adaptation strategies, emphasizing the interconnected nature of Caribbean territories and the importance of tailored, local solutions.
