About Andy Reid
Andrew Reid is a lifelong social and eco justice advocate and an adjunct professor of law at the University of Denver where he teaches courses on the international and human rights law of Indigenous Peoples and on environmental justice. He provides legal counsel for Native nations and organizations. His trial and appellate practice have resulted in over 40 published decisions setting legal precedent in many areas of law including areas of Native American rights and environmental justice. He is legal counsel and an expert in matters before the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. He has participated in the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the UN Meeting of Experts on Indigenous Issues, the UN Earth Summit, and the World Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth. He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (BA, BLS, JD) and the Sturm College of Law’s Natural Resources/Environmental Law & Policy/Water Law & Policy LL.M program.
