Recovery And Resilience: Chinese Island Destinations Webinar

Recovery And Resilience: How to prepare for a sustainable and successful re-start of Chinese outbound tourism for island destinations Webinar.
Presented by Island Innovation and the Chinese Outbound Tourism Research Institute (COTRI)
Chinese outbound tourism will start again in 2021, recovering faster than other source markets and becoming ever more dominant as an international tourism market in the coming decade. However, based on the mixed experiences with Chinese mass-market tourism in the past in addition to the development of new needs and expectations of Chinese travelers in 2020, a more sustainable and satisfaction-based approach to the Chinese market is needed. This is true especially for destinations with limited carrying capacities and fragile ecosystems like most islands.
The webinar offers new approaches and strategies for a successful long-term engagement with Chinese visitors.
