Antigua and Barbuda unveils details of Centre of Excellence and Debt Services initiative
At the United Nations Headquarters, Antigua and Barbuda updated Member States on the key principles behind two important initiatives geared at providing the necessary support and mechanisms for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) to overcome their significant challenges, build resilience from external shocks and achieve sustainable development.

African island states take fresh step towards joint medicines procurement
In a further move towards pooled procurement of essential medicines and medical products, Ministers of Health from small African islands states established a secretariat and elected Mauritius as the host, taking critical steps to launch joint operations for increased access to affordable, quality-assured and safe medicines and medical supplies.
