About Adam Ó Ceallaigh
I joined Island Innovation in 2025 as the Sustainable and Economic Development Manager. In this role I will be working with clients from the first point of contact right the way through to seeing the project being executed.
From the first moment I met some of the team of Island Innovation at COP29 in Baku I knew it was an organisation that I wanted to be apart of. The mission, vision and the work that Island Innovation actually does is something that excites me every day.
My background is the intersection between Geography and Political Science where I find the space of community development. I have been working to secure grants, coordinate volunteers and deliver projects on a local and international level for the past five years.
I am originally from Ireland, but currently find myself in mainland Europe. As a nature lover my favourite things to do are naturally hiking and camping.
A sustainability issue that is close to my heart is ensuring people stay connecting, particularly those in rural communities.
Surprising Fact: I have been involved in Scouting for sixteen years.
